When dynamic singer/songwriter and cabaret performer, ‘Mama’ Meg met Melvin Gradiz, a blues guitarist fresh from New Orleans, sparks flew. While starting a family together, the duo began writing original music and building a repertoire of 1960’s-70’s Memphis/Soul/Funk covers. Inspired by great duo acts such as Sam & Dave, Ike & Tina Turner, and Otis Redding & Carla Thomas, their on-stage chemistry and energetic performances have wowed crowds around the state.
The Youngerbloods band also features the talents of exuberant drummer (and snappy dresser) Marcus Kapp, European funk bassist Ana Seifridsberger, and the incomparable “Saxy” Bruce Couillard on tenor saxophone.
